QR Code IQ Test Developed by Israeli Company

An Israeli company has developed  a special course for students who wish to appear for the Psychometric Entrance Test (PET) in Israel, which is the gateway to some of the best universities in the country. This particular test, created by Kidum, Israel’s largest education company, is being promoted with a QR code campaign, that also has the advantage of being able to identify the top students. The company produced a demo PET test postcard, with the answer card being in the form of a large QR code. This particular QR code contains missing squares which the students fill in once they get the right answers to all the questions. The students who fill the QR code completely can then scan it and claim a prize.

This is an interesting use of QR codes and one that we haven’t seen before. Would it be possible for schools everywhere to use a similar test to encourage students to do better in school? It just might happen one day. QR codes have been used in education in a number of ways and this is just one more. As for how well it works for Kidum, is something we will have to wait and watch for.  We are very excited to hear about other ways in which QR codes could be used to test IQ or identify the smartest students in an entrance test.

Thanks for the link! It does look like the Polish firm did this before the Israeli company. I think it would be interesting to see what other situations this use of the QR code would fit in.
